What happened

The Southern Nevada Health District investigated three travel-associated Legionnaires' disease cases in people who stayed at Harrah's Laughlin in May 2025. All three were hospitalized and no deaths were reported. Environmental sampling at the property found multiple samples positive for Legionella; Harrah's Laughlin disinfected its water systems and the most recent samples were non-detect, with follow-up testing continuing.
