What happened

The Southern Nevada Health District is investigating two travel-associated Legionnaires' disease cases linked to stays at the Wynn Las Vegas - one guest stayed in September 2025 and the other in February 2026; both have recovered. Health District environmental sampling at the property returned multiple samples positive for Legionella, after which the Wynn carried out comprehensive water system remediation, and the most recent samples show no detectable Legionella in the affected areas. The Health District has urged every guest who stayed on or after September 1, 2025 to complete a confidential illness survey so additional cases can be identified; figures are provisional.
